I heard on the reaction show that Ben Bruns was critical of ISU after the game...What did he say and what was he critical of?

He was pretty down on the offense, and specifically the offensive line. I wasn't listening closely, but that's what I gathered.

I didn't expect a win last night or even that close of a game...but if Ben was NOT critical of the team he wasn't doing his job as an analyst. Ben is slowing becoming the main analytical voice of ISU football imo.

Ben is awesome. We are lucky to have such a good three person team for the football broadcasts. Last night Ben didn't say anything outrageous, he just told it like he saw it. He was just analyzing, not being negative.

I appreciate what Ben has to say. Yes he loves ISU but he is not afraid to tell it like it is when it comes to this team. There needs to be a critical voice on the 'inside'. I learn something about football every time I hear him speak.

Ben always tells it like it is, which is what I like about him. He doesn't sugar coat it either, even John walters was critical of the offense.

I agree. When Eric Heft retires, Ben should be the new color analyst.

What offense? When you score no touchdowns you have no offense. Maybe we can at least kick a field goal against the mighty longhorns from austin.

He can be a bit of a richard when it comes to the Hawks and the rivalry, but he loves ISU so I get it, not a big deal to me. I think sideline reporters for the most part are overrated in terms of what they do, but I think Ben is one of the exceptions. He is good at breaking down things and explaining them in laymen terms. Came off well as a color analyst doing the UNI game.

Brutally honest almost to a fault......If your a clonefan I would think this would be what you want.

It depends on what level of critical you're talking about. He said our offense wasn't very good, and who is going to argue with that. The reaction show was pretty quiet and not much was said, because there was nothing to really talk about. Actually, I thought Bruns held back and was hardly critical at all. Its not like he went on a rant, he just said (in essence) "the offense isn't very good" and that's it. I wish he would have said more of what his thoughts were.

I was thinking the same thing about Bruns after the UNI game. He should be our color guy. And John Walters doesn't do it for me as are voice. The our radio broadcasts are high school quality.

Bruns did point out post-game that there was no way OU should have had so much pressure on our QB by rushing just 3-4 guys - a direct indictment of our o-line.

Bruns was an o lineman and knows that area better than any. His strongest statements are almost always about the o line.
