Better off buying single game tickets?

These are great reasons and I think we'll get them again next year. Do they automatically keep you in the same spot?

Recognize that we have Iowa and Texas at home next year. Unless you have season tickets, you won't get good single game tickets unless you pay a fortune on Stub Hub. Season tickets are the way to go.

If you get the parking pass vs. paying for general public parking every game plus deduct your donation, you come out extremely close in net cost. If you're willing to walk from free parking somewhere you lose some of the cost benefit.

I know we come out ahead in terms of net cost on season tickets vs. spending $395 per seat on single game tickets and get significantly better seats than we would otherwise. (We get the small faculty discount which gets us on the positive side of the net cost when added to parking and the deduction.)

From an economic standpoint (not a pride or alumni standpoint), would we be better off buying single-game tickets rather than season tickets? Last year we bought each game separately and because we couldn't get into the Iowa game decided to buy season tickets this year. Each game this year there have been available tickets in our section (albeit higher up) for every game a few days prior to game day.

So... we paid $950 for two tickets and cyclone club donation. That works out to about $68/ticket per game. If we would have purchased single game ticket it would have been $790 ($395/pp x 2). Going forward, why would I willingly spend 17% more to get the same tickets?

Off topic - I wish they would get rid of Cyclone Club pricing for football and just charge a certain price per ticket per game. the whole business of not knowing your specific seats/varying donations is kind of confusing (why do they do that?)

We walk from east hyvee. That way we never have to deal with crowds when we leave. How much is a parking pass? I looked online and there is no price listed.

If you donate or buy season tickets the parking passes are $50 no matter if you're in G7 or B6. The more you donate the "better" lot you get.

They will usually keep you there. If you want to be next to someone just note that on both of your forms when you turn them in. Also you guys can request to move to a better seat if available. They will work with you. Just ask to move closer in your section or farther if you want to be higher....upper balcony etc.

The reason you do season tickets is to improve our program and as we build on it every year tickets have and will get harder to come by. Being able to deduct donations helps ... $50 for parking is not expensive at all ..couple of pay lots are like 20 a game Yikes .We enjoy alot of the people around us and like having seats with them every yr.!

I got hillside season tickets and with processing charge it was $125. Had I bought hillsides game by game I would have saved $20-$25. I thought the whole idea of season tickets was to save people money.

If we end the season at 8-5 the resale market is going to go nuts next season. That's why we'll be getting season tickets right away.

Seats in section 18 are currently $225. I'll be shocked if that doesn't hit $250 next year.

There's a point where it's tough to pull off. For us, $250 isn't it yet. I'm sure that there will be plenty of people lining up whatever the price right now, and that's a good thing.
