I would love to know the full back story of the bugle logo. It literally showed up for one game an disappeared. They were even selling bugle logo merch at that game but don't recall seeing it ever again. How thought it was a good idea/pushed for it. Who made it go away so quickly. It was the most random ISU logo roll out I can remember.

Didn't we pay some design firm like $50k to make that trash? Ranks up there with the farm family cy hawk trophy.

Why do I think the bugle was done by the group that did the Colorado Avalanche logo?

If so, that's a terrible decision to begin with. Avs logo is pretty classic 90s cartoonish cheesiness - lots of crap going on, 5 colors, and completely indistinguishable from a distance unless the logo takes up 2 square feet on the front of the jersey.

It doesn't sell. You'll easily see more people sporting the classic Orr-nado. The debut featured a frustrating loss to Texas.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think we're contractually obligated to use the designer of the bugle logo because they designed our current block I-STATE logo?

Pollard pushed it because we blew a ton of money in it. Everyone hated it. End story.

The cats face is pretty goofy looking, but I’m assuming this is some kind of throw back and like it.

If the K State logo is an actual throwback it is 1,000 x better than the bugle
If the K State logo is a modern attempt to make something that looks like a throwback it is 100 x better than the bugle

The bugle was just so awful.
