Kansas hosted a gameday last year.

No, Kansas didn't host last year. Oklahoma State hosted the Big 12's only Gameday last year, and brought dozens of fans. DOZENS!!!

Seriously, this was their crowd:

Iowa won't beat us. They have one above avg player in White, all the rest are meh. You get to name your starting 5 between iu's and Iowa roster. Aside from maybe White, maybe...who else starts for ISU? No one.

im not saying we can't lose I just think our team will be to potent. As for the rest of the schedule, at worse I see 5 losses.at worse..@ksu, @tx, @ku, @oU. Possibly 1 non conf lose though aside from Iowa I don't see who.

okie st will be down and WV won't be that good either.

Dumb question: What exactly does Gameday entail for basketball? I'm familiar with the football version but since ISU hasn't hosted one I'm not sure what the basketball one is like. I'm very excited at the prospect of more national exposure for the program.

It's pretty much the football thing but for basketball. Bilas, Rose,Digger and Jay Williams sitting at a desk in Hilton discussing the days games live on ESPN.

Iowa State certainly can no longer gripe about anyone not doing them any favors with scheduling. ISU doesn't have even two games in a row against the other three good teams in the conference (Kansas, Texas and Oklahoma). I do not think you could build a better schedule than what ISU got this year.

The way I read this, College Gameday will be a Big 12 game on January 17. It will either be WV @ Texas, or KU @ ISU. Seems to me to be an easy choice.

Travis Hines indicated that there are two other games, in other conferences, in contention for Gameday that weekend in addition to those two Big 12 ones. He didn't say which two games those were, though.

There are two channels (ESPN and ESPN2) and two time slots (5:00pm and 8:00pm) for those four games to be slotted into; apparently one of them will be the Gameday site.

A little surprised by one of the CBS game selections. Two conference games are on CBS: Kansas @ Texas (no surprise) and Baylor @ Kansas.

I guess CBS definitely wants KU, and our two games with them are Big Monday and (maybe) Gameday, so we may have been out of the running already.

I remember I wen't to the K-State road game that weekend. Hopefully a few more fans than that showed up for the actual game?

IF there were to be game day at hilton, would the whole place be packed?

Depends on what Cyclone Alley does with students. Do they have to stay in line freezing outside to keep their spot in line or do they get to go into Hilton for the show then back out.
