I’m sure a Texas High School stadium will hold more fans than some of the stadiums of teams that were vying for an invite.
Not sure what capacity any of those other college stadiums are but the biggest HS football stadium in Texas seats <20,000.

As far as the pod ideas go, I just don't see an order that doesn't have us in with WV, Cincy, and UCF. I hate it, but it's the only one that makes unbiased sense to me.

My biased brain wants to keep a pod together with the old Big 8 teams, just doesn't seem likely to me.
Florida is warm in November and December.

This guy is fairly reasonable with his view. As he states, someone has to be in the bottom and unfortunately for Cyclone fans, more often than not, it is us.

IT'S NOT EASY BEING A CYCLONE FAN . . . IT IS AWESOME!

Houston is the only other logical fit, but I figured they'd want a Texas pod. I hope you're right man.
In what universe do you think Houston would have more pull than Iowa State in the Big12? That would also mean they have more pull than Oklahoma State, who also wants to play in Texas. Houston also has a history with the likes of Cincinnati and UCF. Plus pods are dumb and aren’t happening. Protected Rivals.

I've seen that scenario in quite a few online posts. I don't know that "pull" will have much to do with it. Just hoping for the best, and preparing for the worst.

This a$$hole can't help himself...

So he's using 2023 rankings to project in 2024 the Big12 won't have a team favored to be in the 12 team CFP?

Pre-season polls favor blue bloods. And more importantly, some of those teams will be replacing key starters. Maybe Stew needs to come up with a thought on 2023 season.
