Quite an honor coming from the Daily, having their finger on the pulse of college football and all. And you have to love the fact they didn't even put in a picture from the Baylor game, or last week's game even. I appreciate more the fact that the Cyclone Fanatic posters all agree that Jake was a beast and deserves all of our respect.
I wouldn't beat up on them too much. The only mistake they made is trusting their source. The rule in journalism, as in most things, is trust but verify. I think, as college students, they were simply anxious to scoop the Register and Ames Trib and the other major media. I am willing to cut college kids some slack.
