Stanford runs the table they get in.

Either Bama or LSU gets in.
1 of Ohio State or Michigan State, or Iowa
Clemson

Stanford gets 1 more game, if they beat a Utah, UCLA or ASU, they will get the nod.

12-0 TCU or Baylor is in over 12-1 Stanford. 11-1 vs. 12-1 is a closer call.

Sorry mine was in reference to OU getting the nod should Baylor and TCU lose.
If TCU or Baylor don't have a loss they get in.

A 1 loss OU team is not in a good spot given they will play 1 less game. than other P5 contenders.

Big 12 needs to invite Iowa, like, yesterday. They're undefeated, and because they're undefeated in the much more difficult Big Ten, they'd be undefeated in the Big 12 and likely go to the championship game.

I love the current final 4 setup NYE and 10 days later.

They just need to figure out, 4 conferences. The (8) division winners play at the end of November (round 1). Then the final 4 like now.

I like this idea, but what happens when you have 11-1 Alabama that doesn't win its Division? In 2011 They won the national championship without doing so.

Cincinnati
Memphis
colorado state
florida schools?
maybe byu?

please no more Texas schools, I think we have enough even at 18.

The interesting scenario this year is if Mississippi wins out. They control their destiny in the SEC West yet lost to Memphis. Would the committee leave them out?

Mississippi wins out you have to take an undefeated Memphis. Worst playoff possible Memphis, Notre Dame, Clemson and Iowa. That would ensure an expansion.

If Memphis wins out, they will not make the playoffs. For you people wanting expansion into the BIGXII, if Memphis loses out, I promise you that the owner of FEDEX will give all his money and left nut for Memphis to be included into the conference. Hell, he's already guaranteed that the BIGXII's other members will not have to take a pay cut if he brings Memphis into the conference. He has promised that he will make it right for Memphis's finances. Don't be surprised if he tries to bring Louisville either as a total package. Think of the basketball conference this could be. I know I'd be all for it.

I don't think anyone is wanting the Big 12 to add 8 teams. I think you're confusing that with people wanting the 4 team playoff to go to 8 teams. But nobody wants the Big 12 to add 8 teams.

Add BYU and either Memphis or Cincinnati. Create an eight team playoff. Five power conferences send their CCG winner to the playoff with three at large teams. Not that complicated.

The SEC and B1G champs seem like a lock to make the playoff unless there's a crazy upset in the conference championship games. If the winner of TCU/Baylor also wins out an undefeated Big 12 team would almost certainly be in the playoff. If Clemson goes undefeated they'd probably be the 4th team, but I can't see them avoiding the slip up. The Pac 10 isn't looking good for the playoff. I'd be surprised if Stanford doesn't drop another.

Anyone that thinks we should expand to 12 teams with any two random teams just so we can get a CCG, please raise your hand. Now take that hand and slap yourself across your face for your sheer stupidity.

Teams will not be random. It will be researched by league members for the money angles.
