Big 12 Once Again Strongest Conference

ESPN’s Basketball Power Index (BPI) preseason projections has the Big 12 ranked as the strongest conference with Kansas leading the way as the best team. Fifty percent of Big 12 teams are in the top 25, the highest percentage of any conference.

This: it basically comes down to arguing the definition of "best" conference. Is it the conference where 80% could make the NCAA's any given year? (Big 12) Is it who has the most championship contenders but then has multiple bottom dwellers? (ACC).

Texas always, always overrated. TCU guards are no better than many others in the league. More overhype for Jamie the media darling. And his 'first team' will rankle nesters in Lawrence.

Found it interesting that basically the entire KU write-up was about Dedric Lawson being a Big XII and National POY candidate, yet Andy Katz didn't put him on his Big XII First Team.
