One of my favorite things about last weekend was KU fans trying to get inside p&l, I heard 10+ people say "How is this possible?" "Why are there so many ISU fans here". Any fabrication that KU's teams/coach/fans didn't care about this game went out the window when they saw the support we brought.

I had lots of good interactions with KU fans but there was always a smugness about being surprised we travel so well. The original Hilton South was Keumper Arena, this isn't a new thing since Fred or the Sprint Center. Idk how any diehard fans of KU would be shocked by the ISU turnout.

Right! We've been using Hilton South since at least Tim Floyd days, that I can remember anyway. I had one KU lady ask me in P&L during the first half, "What is Hilton Magic?" I explained it. Her response was a sort of condescending giggle, "See no one down here knows that." I didn't say anything because frankly I didn't care what she thought. But inside I was thinking, "See, it's not your thing to know. That's our thing. Our team. Our fans. You have your own stuff. Now buzz off." I bet she knows what Hilton Magic/South is now though!

I would of just asked her what "Rock Chalk J-Hawk" is, then once she explained..."See no one up here knows that."

How could we be picked 5th preseason and Hoiberg not be coach of the year in the Big 12?

Here nor there

Because Hoiball. He does such a great job at utilizing his players strengths that the perception tends to be the team had more talent than originally given credit for. Hence players rack up the awards despite having few highly recruited guys and only one draft pick (thus far).

Watching a replay of the KU game. Man, that Mason lob to Selden for the one-handed dunk was amazing. Not only was it an incredible play, but it came while we were on a run and ready to tie up the game.

3 straight years at least in the semi's. This trend needs to continue/be the expectation in order to get the attention of those in blue. Then we can have a rivalry. And we also need to break the streak

This was maybe my 15th year to go, I've been the to the last 4 with my college age son and its expensive as hell. I figured out a way to bring a cooler inside and didnt spend any $$ in the P&L for the most part. I got a free tic to Thurs game and paid 450 for 4 tix for Friday. I watched the championship game at the P&L. It was epic. Did you hear that drunk guy blowing the horn? That is me. When Prez Leath started talking we started a Free VEISHEA chant. I dont like that visitor.

They eye candy was tasty

At the time, I figured that was game, set, match for KU.

Way up there

THat's one of the best dunks I've seen in person. ISU clearly dominated the p&l but KU fans deserve credit for helping make the atmosphere inside the Sprint Center electric. In reality, neither team had much to gain or lose as far as seeding but it had an NCAA tourney game feel to it. I think the number of ISU fans and the energy we brought was kind of a gut check and the KU fans responded with a lot of enthusiasm.

We were about 25 rows behind that hoop. TV did not do any justice as to how far back Selden reached for that ball with his right hand.
