That 7/10 game that we will play the winner of could feature:

TCU
Cincinnati
K-State
Oklahoma
Texas

Still a chance we get the 1 seed but that would take:
TTech> Baylor
Kansas > Houston
ISU > K-State

In which case the 8/9 game could feature:
Texas
Oklahoma
BYU
TCU
And in the scenario where we get the 1, who is 3 and 4? KU, TTU, and Baylor all with 11 wins.

Am I crazy to want Kansas as a 5 seed or 4. Tickets if KU is a 6 or 3 will be impossible to get.

Is conference #1 seed and regular season champion the same thing? Or has Houston already been crowned regular season champ?

They've got at least a share of the title but not outright since they can lose to KU and we can beat KSU and end up with same record. Seed isn't the same thing.

So basically Houston can win outright by beating Kansas. If they lose to KU and we beat KSU we are co-champs.

Regular season championship can be shared.
If ISU beats KSU on Saturday, and Kansas beats Houston, ISU and Houston would share the regular season championship.

There's a tie breaker to determine the seeds in the tournament.
The tie breaker would be record against the team(s) finishing in 3rd place.

Still a chance for ISU to share the regular season and get the #1 seed, but need some help from Kansas and Texas Tech.

That's what I thought. So I still have a chance to win my DraftKings bet:)

It's going to be hilarious when the Big 12 eventually gets a shared conference title and the two teams didn't play each other twice. Like if us and Baylor shared the title this year. Not that it really matters but it would be a never ending battle on twitter between fan bases.

If Houston loses, and we win, we both have 14-4 record. Since we split, it would go to another level for seeding, instead of latest matchup? Interesting.

I was looking at 4 through 7 this morning if it ends with 4 10-8 teams.

I think it would look like this.

4. Tech 3-1 hd-hd and beat BYU
5. BYU 2-1 HD-HD and loss to Tech
6. Kansas 1-2 hd-hd beat TCU
7. TCU 1-3 HD-HD loss to Kansas.

I listed those particular games because 3-1, 2-1 should they be considered equal it should fall back to their hd-hd. Same as 1-2/1-3.

If Tech beats Baylor and ties Baylor for 3rd I believe they would remain the 4 as they split their 2 games and Baylor beat us.

I only used logic as my criteria so I very well could be wrong.

Yes. For example, KSU and KU tied a few years ago at 14-4, even though KU beat KSU twice. They technically shared the title.

Big 12 uses winning percentage, so 3-1 > 2-1 > 1-2 > 1-3.

"Results from the collective head-to-head competition during the regular season among the tied teams in
a mini round-robin format, ranking the tied teams by winning percentage from highest to lowest will be
used to determine the seeds. (2-0 is not better than 1-0 or 0-0, 0-0 and 0-1 is not better than 0-2)."
