Yeah, we know he's coming to the game with the sign. He tweeted about it a few hours ago.

Does your friend just have it at his house or something? I feel like they should just sell it to Cyclone Alley?

Why, so CA can not use it the way it should be used? They'd probably dismantle it and use it's parts all around CA seperately so more members could wave a piece.

Uhh Im his supervisor, no seriously I am. The sign still remains in Ames. He is getting daily tweets.

I won't name names either (you can just look on the event page) but someone posted that we can expect to see Big Georges there for GameDay. A friend of a friend perhaps? Idk. The point is, someone states that they will be bringing Big Georges and I have no reason to believe someone would lie about something like that. The dedicated Big Georges twitter account also backs this up.

One of the original guys posted to the event page. They're working with the original owner's dad as well as the athletic department to find it a permanent home and make it to the Kansas game. Nice to see that they are going the extra mile to get it done, but we can't hold it against them if it doesn't work out. Tough circumstances, obviously.

Maybe a Tom Rinaldi piece during game day about the fan who created it and his love for the cyclones

So is it just a myth that the guy who made it has passed away?

Not a myth. Was partners with the original owner for a semester project last year in the Fall semester. Was a great guy and loved the Cyclones. Glad to hear Big Georges will be back.

Which one of you guys knows more about this than the rest? I am contemplating sending Rinaldi an email and see if it can gain some traction. I just don't know what to say to him because I don't know the details of what happened.

Are the other two on here?
One may be but the guy that works on my team is not a member but looks at the site. I tweeted and text him last night about this thread and he confirmed he is bringing it to gameday.

It is inconsienable that he is not on this site if he is a true fan!

The guy passed away and he has friends on the board so chill out about calling something like that into question. Yeesh.
