Good. Just a bunch of garbage 3rd tier games that nobody, except the respective fans of those schools care about.
They think they can compete and are peers with Fox or ESPN, but forget that the majority of college sports fan aren’t fans the B10. At least the Cubs or Cylones or Bulls or other generally interesting games are occasionally on those stations.
It’s like a vegetarian restaurant... if you aren’t vegetarian, don’t bother looking at the menu.
What you guys dont understand is when ISU plays @ iowa a lot of the time those games are on BTN. This will effect us more than you think
Great reason to stop playing them moving forward
A lot of those times when this happens once every other year (every other year for football and basketball, but football has been on ESPN the last couple of games in Iowa City)? What you guys dont understand is when ISU plays @ iowa a lot of the time those games are on BTN. As of right now I think Comcast is just trying to leverage BTN to reduce their price. This is a ballsy move by Comcast though but I love it. BTN gouged TV markets within the conferences footprint and the schools made a ton of money off of it but it will all come full circle.
I agree. They're almost certainly acting like it's gone for good as a negotiating tactic.

What does this mean to the network? Anything?
Not even close to correct. (well, for me at least.) I watch a heck of a lot of volleyball and softball on that network that otherwise would not be televised. I am not a fan of any Big Ten schools. But I love BTN, and am glad that the state of Illinois gets to keep it.
This post makes me queasy .

Why is that? Do you not like volleyball or softball? The Big Ten is, hands down, the best volleyball conference and BTN televises a lot of matches in the fall. It's great being able to watch Nebraska, Minnesota, Penn State, Wisconsin all the time.
And, while they're not great at softball, it's still nice to see. We're able to watch several girls that we know personally, thanks to BTN. It's only going to get better as DD gets older and more and more of the girls she's played with/against are on TV. If DD doesn't end up playing at ISU, I hope she chooses a Big Ten school so I can watch her in four years.

We will watch wrestling duals on it. Would prefer if it was an add on in the sports pack we get. I know people like my 87 year old mom doesn’t care for it so why make her have it.[/QUOTE]
This is exactly why the BTN has been so profitable and why cord cutters are putting the squeeze on the price gouging sports channels...
Personally I don't watch a ton of either sport. However, I think this is the area that the Big XII is really weak with allowing the schools to do T3. Obviously, Cyclones.TV has tons of volleyball and softball content but only ISU games. The big XII needs to get all the schools to agree to some sort of combined network that allows everyone access to all the schools. So if I subscribe (and perhaps this would have to be a yearly or minimum subscription) to Cyclones.TV then I should also get a pass to watch any of the other schools T3 content and then they could also then access ISU's.
