Baylor got the Big XII off to a great start last night.

Locks (IMO):
Texas Tech over Minnesota
West Virginia over Syracuse
Oklahoma St over Purdue
Iowa St over Tulsa

50/50 calls:
TCU v Michigan St
Texas v Oregon St
Oklahoma v. A&M
Kansas St v Oregon

I say 7 and 2.

I think I'd put TCU as closer to a lock than 50/50. Michigan State is truly awful.

I'd also put KSU as a fairly big underdog to Oregon

But, I'd agree on the most likely record as being 7-2, maybe 6-3.

Calling either us or West Virginia a lock is ridiculous. We have seen both teams tripping over themselves this season.

Tech only concerns me due to losing Tubberville, but the team seems to be rallying around each other so it may not be an issue.

I see KSU losing, Big Game Bob may show up and ruin OU's chances, and Texas you never know what will happen. No more than 3 losses, but would expect 2.

They lost to Iowa...the worst team in the B1G. That should tell you everything you need to know...

Against teams the level of Tulsa and Syracuse? Not so much. Both teams struggles occurred against top 30 (sagarin rated) teams, which is what the big 12 is primarily composed of. Having those kinds of struggles in no way means ISU or WVU will struggle against teams rated in the 50s . The only reason tulsa looks 'good' to some is because they won the 13th best conference out of 12 FBS conferences (FCS MVC is actually rated higher). I'm pretty sure we could look good too playing a schedule full of teams worse than kansas. Between syracuse and tulsa combined there is one game against the top 30 rated teams, and it is a loss.

I think OU takes A&M. Wasn't it A&M O Cord that took the head coaching job at TT? Only game that I think could be close is KState, and they could surprise everyone and win by 2 possessions.

I expect Oregon to take them to the woodshed. I also expect OU to beat A&M and Texas to lose to OSU. I think the Big 12's record will be either 6-2 or 5-3.

TCU will roll over MSU. They aren't good and when TCU is on, they're tough.
