Share the road. It's that simple. Don't be an ******* on a bike. Don't be an ******* in a car. We can do this without more laws.

Exactly. There are a lot of road where you just should not ride your bike. Too many hills, too much traffic, etc. The problem with this country is no one can just compromise on anything, politically or otherwise. Share the road is a great program. Bikers want to bike, not slow traffic and certainly not get run over. Most motorists do a good job of sharing the road, and most cyclists try to stay as far to the right as safety allows. There are cyclist that feel the laws don't apply to them and motorist that are jerks and try to pass bikes as close as they can just to scare them.

In the end, as with most things, we need less idiots in the world, and you can't legislate that.

I love how dog walkers (and dogs without a lease), or moms in strollers get agitated on a trail with bikers.

I wiped out-- azz over applecart on my bike while on that Dubuque trail north of town, when I had to brake for a little douchey dog running loose and decided to run in front of my front tire. My front wheel locked up, and I cart-wheeled

Of course the owners--an old couple, never apologized (as I was bleeding everywhere) as they kept walking like clueless idiots with their leash-less little turd mutt was running everywhere

move off the trail to the fricking sidewalk. and there is a LEASH LAW

Where I live--there are too many idiot drivers on the roads, and I don't ride on sidewalks The trails are the safest for bikers.
