Not really. That just means that they can send out a couple of the GA's on the road like Day. He's one of the best recruiters on the staff. Bleil did some good things at ISU for sure. This year, he lost his all-conference candidate at TE right away and didn't miss a beat. Like it or not, he also helped put KO, Hicks and Bykowski in the NFL. I hope that he gets the gig.

The group you are referring to has some pretty impressive physical attributes. KO was a specimen. Bibbs is an absolute stud. Perhaps they could have accomplished even more?

Bleil wouldn't have his resume out there if he didn't feel a bit threatened IMO. He was in a position of comfort. And as my link from WRNL says, if it weren't for his close personal relationship with CPR he would be gone already. IMO, CPR feels he needs more production out of Bleil's position and he has informed Bleil of the possibility he may be let go and needs to find something in short order. JMO.

Not sure what it means but if Bleil leaves then the entire offensive staff that CPR started with has left. vs 2 on the defensive side both being the DB coach.

So all we will be left with is the awesome memory of our offensive ineptitude.

What are his chances realistically of getting this job?

Am I reading this right? Signed two kids last year and an Iowa kid as his only potiential left for this year? Is that damn good?

Those Rivals lists dont mean crap and are not all inclusive. Shane is a great recruiter.

For Shane Burnham it looks like he got commitments from 5 kids last year including Campos. It only shows him with 1 commitment for 2014 that being Lazard.

Not sure if it is complete or not. But you can contrast it with Messingham for 2013 with 2 commits and zero commits for 2014 and Pope with 1 commit for 2013 and 1 commit for 2014 with each commit being a 2-star DB.

Okay I know this if my first post but I'm a long-time lurker. I agree the offensive line could have done more but more production out of the tight ends this year? Brun goes down at the beginning of the year and Bibbs gives us some of the best production out of the tight end we have ever had. Yes he is a special talent but with the struggles of our offense, he was one of the consistent bright spots (multiple catches in all games). 12th most yards in the nation, 11th most receptions in the nation, and the 2nd best TE in the conference behind Amaro. That's a pretty successful year out of our tight ends.

Bibb was a 2nd Team Juco All American in Junior College. Go ahead and give credit to Bleil if you want. I will credit the incredible athletic ability of Bibbs instead.

But where do you go from North Dakota?
It's not a marquee FCS program, and it looks like a pretty bad one overall. It doesn't seem like the career prospects are real high after that position.

Signed,
Jim Harbaugh, by way of the University of San Diego, a school much smaller than North Dakota in the FCS ranks.

To me, Bleil was one that should have been on the chopping block just as much as Pope. I wonder if his not being fired yet was a personal favor from CPR knowing that he planned to apply for this job?

Complete BS, Bill did a great job at the get go, 2012 the line regressed ,but we lost 2 NFL lineman. Perhaps his recruiting responsibilities lacked, I don't know, but I think we all know that in the early years of CPR recruiting, the recruitment of O-linemen was not good.

Speaking of North Dakota, the other school North Dakota State has beaten two schools this year who ISU lost to.

Why hasn't Bohl been hired for a more high profile job? 39-2 over the last 3 years.
I think I have this right. I have heard he was a coach at Nebraska for several years and that would be the job he wants. The Nebbie people (that think their **** doesn't stink) think they can do much better than him.

They probably retain Pelini this year so as not to compete with other high profile programs for coaches. Nebbie is going to look foolish when they end up hiring the # 10 guy on their list.

Interesting thoughts on the CF Call In Show that it was said that there will be another coach let go. It doesn't take too much imagination considering that Bleil is applying for the UND job that he has been told he will be let go.

Maybe he doesn't want to leave? He has a good thing going.

His age? Or he's just waiting for Bo to get canned and head back to UNL...

It might be hard to believe given Bo Pelini's actions , but it's possible for a football coach at Nebraska to cross the line of acceptable behavior at least in the eyes of certain boosters who have the power to pull strings. Bohl, Solich, and Carl Pelini all found out that behavior that was not football related can get you run out of town with basically no chance of being welcome back.

I actually felt like Bibbs was massively under-utilized. Im not sure that is Bleil's fault tho. Bibbs is a special talent. Needed the ball A LOT more often. Maybe thats on Courtney. Idk.
