Also have to say Roy Williams is a very nice guy. He was inundated with people the past two days asking him for pictures and conversations. He was more than gracious to offer his time before games, and sadly during games, for people bothering him for his time.

I was happy to help him find a balance between giving fans access to him and to allow him to watch ISU beat his former team. :D

**** Vitale never called a game in Hilton. That’s always helped it retain its class even when timeouts were called to quiet the crowd.

I once heard Bill Walton say something like "This is the best Iowa State team I've ever seen." And his partner "Joe" asks, "Bill, how many times have you seen Iowa State play?" "Joe, that would be once" in a voice that was still very definitive like he was saying something really important.

Can you imagine being his on-air partner? What a riot! Always have to be on your toes.

He said something similar in this tournament too, but about a couple of the players.

He did in 2013 vs. Michigan.

Ripped ISU's defense a couple of times. He wasn't wrong.

His usual partner, can't recall the name, feeds right into it perfectly. It's like a comdy duo and much better than the constant mouth breathing analysis or obsession with Duke.

Before he went down the "parody" route like this he used to call NBA games on NBC. He would constantly say "oh come on, make a pass" when someone chucked it. I loved it.

Have to say after my personal interactions with him today, he is a class act. As broken his body is, the man is willing to offer himself to others when he is not working.

As nutty as he can appear, he seem like a genuine human being.

FYI, here he is with my security team well after the last game last the night.

FYI he is still tall.

People forget what an absolutely legendary player he was.

He was always going to break down in the NBA meat grinder but one of the best ever.

His passing and movement without the ball were incredible.

On the broadcast last night, his partner brought up his 1st game at UCLA. Don't remember exactly, something like 26 pts, 20 rbs, ...
Now I gotta go look it up for assists and blocks!

Maybe Walton's best game was his last in a National Championship game. He was like 21 for 22 from the field and no dunking then either, as I recall. One of best college game performances ever by a center.

Got to hang with him at a bar. He used to do Clipper games who were really bad then. The stories he told were hilarious. Just a great guy who is highly intelligent

He's normally with Dave Pasch or Jason Bennetti.

He’s always very complementary of Iowa State. I have no idea why but it’s pretty cool.

He is very genuine. Guy is a humanitarian. Wish everyone had a chance to meet him
