Serious question here. What's the point of the We Will Collective if this is just going to keep happening?
They said we will is to retain players, not to get them to come here.Serious question here. What's the point of the We Will Collective if this is just going to keep happening?
This is only the last name in the summer phase of recruiting, the guys who visited in June.Unless there’s someone I don’t know about, this was the last possibility in the 2023 class for a big name. Maybe there’s someone that we could surprisingly land, but this felt like our last possibility. Not trying to be an Eyore here. Just being realistic.
I take it you've never read or listen to anyone talk about what the We Will Collective is?Serious question here. What's the point of the We Will Collective if this is just going to keep happening?
Why? Losing every big recruit we go after isn’t special if we finish 2-5. Not sure why people enjoy this mentality.
That's the whole point. Makes no sense to get behind a collective that doesn't pay recruits.I take it you've never read or listen to anyone talk about what the We Will Collective is?
Honestly, if the first thing a recruit does in the recruiting process is asking one of our coaches about how much money they can get from NIL at Iowa State, I fully expect that coach to get up and walk away. That's the whole point. Makes no sense to get behind a collective that doesn't pay recruits.
Pre-NIL, would you be shocked that a kid from (current) Pac 12 country picked Oregon over ISU? These things happen sometimes, and they’ve been happening well before collectives were an official and legal thingThat's the whole point. Wonder how much $ Oregon will offer Myles to go join his brother. I'm sure tampering has already started.Pre-NIL, would you be shocked that a kid from (current) Pac 12 country picked Oregon over ISU? Again missing the point. Blum has said MANY times the main objective of the we will collective is to take care of athletes already at Iowa state. Competing with Phil Knight and Oregon simply isn’t realistic. Blake said he wanted to go somewhere where he felt prioritized. Well he was #1 priority at Iowa state for 2 years and yet he picked a school with 6 defensive line commitments already. Doesn’t scream to me like he was really focused on coming here if that’s truly how he felt. That's the whole point. Makes no sense to get behind a collective that doesn't pay recruits.

Death. Taxes. Cyclone Fanatic thinking the sky is falling when something doesn't go our way.
Bringing up his brother, who's a solid player and current contributor, is a really bad look.Death. Taxes. Cyclone Fanatic thinking the sky is falling when something doesn't go our way.
So you’re saying Blum is misappropriating funds…?
