I am excited to see him play. Always root for a Cyclone legacy to get a scholarship offer.

A team can never have enough jump shooters. At 5'10" if he has a quick release- that shouldn't be an issue.

The bigger issue is he a step slow on defense? That isn't the end of the world- look at the Hawks Bohannon. However, it does place a bigger importance of having a true rim protector. But if we have Conditt and Xavier Foster we're covered.

If his dad is willing to let him accept a scholarship from Iowa, then he isn't a true Cyclone. A true Cylcone wouldn't even entertain that scenario.
Jake Sullivan's son in getting recruited by the Hoks. If he commits, will that make Jake an untrue, not forever loyal son of the Cyclones?

Yes. Jake is completely lost. He’s given up everything to the land of make believe at this point.

You’re slipping in your old age. Understandable, it’ll happen to all of us eventually.

This is what generally makes you one of the premier ass-clowns in the basketball threads. You like to snipe little childish insults at anyone you disagree and than engage them in a running pissing contest.

You can piss away, I ain't gonna see it. Not sure why you weren't on my ignore list before.

I've seen Born play about 10 times this year, since I live in Norwalk. The kid absolutely could make it at Iowa State. This year he took on more of the point guard position. Yesterday was a clinic. Yeah 1 for 5 from 3pt but the kid can shoot. He gets mauled every time the ball is in his hands. Strong finisher with the left, and even good with the right. Probably would need a redshirt year.

In all honesty, when they played against Xavier Foster team, he was the more impressive one. Obviously not body wise.

I think if he grows 2 inches and hits 6 foot. He is a top 75 kid for sure. I am a Norwalk guy and I probably know you to be quite honest. He has a natural scoring ability. It all comes down to height. If there is a kid that is 6'1 and can do the same things. I say we take that kid. Im not down with Legacy recruits unless they are the best option. Bowen is a very nice kid also. (footnote his girlfriend is the nicest kid at Norwalk high) haha

Two words for you-Clayton Custer.

The kid is a Custer clone and Clayton is mid-major material.

No he is not a Custer clone. I would compare him more to Tyler Harris that went to Memphis. I would say he even has a little Devontae Graham from Kansas in him. Not Custer though. I guess they are both white guys.

Devontae Graham? Good one.

I never mentioned race but if you want to play that card its on you.

You didn't mention race but that is exactly what you were saying. PIck a white guard and compare the two. Even if they are nothing alike. Which they are not. Custer is a totally different play, different type of guard. Both have their strengths but have weekness but I would say if I compared him to anyone it would be Devontae Graham. Graham was not highly recruited and short out of high school also.

Not what I was saying at all.

We can, and have, recruited his type before and they typically last a year, maybe two, on the bench before leaving for more playing time as they realize their skill set is better suited down a level. This is just reality.

I'm no talent scout, but that is one of the least impressive highlight tapes I've ever seen.
