Looking for a big screen tv and reaonably priced food and drink - We'll be in town for Cyclone Challenge, staying Thursday night. and leaving town after the game Friday night. We're out of the motel for the bowl game and looking for a game watch site. I've had recommendations of Es Tas and Welch Ave Station. Wallaby's looks interesting on-line. Any recommendations? It seems the Alumni Association has game watches around the country, but, not in Ames.

Every place in Ames with a TV should have the game on.

Welch Ave has several huge TVs, the broadcast audio should be piped in, and (best of all) you can order from Pizza Pit upstairs.

Are you heading south after the game on Friday? Then I'd go to Kippy's Place in Elkhart - an easy jump on to I-35 afterward - undeniably Cyclone and affordable.

Kippy's is a sponsor, so I'd love to support them. But, the bowl game is on and over before the WBB game a (presumably) at 7:30. It's not out of the question to go a short way out of Ames, though I'd rather stay in town so I don't have far to drive to Hilton where I can clear my head for a couple of hours before heading west.

Just don't go to Legends. That place sucks now. Whiskey River is nice.. Food and drink are great at Es Tas. Get the pink tacos

Ended up at Wallaby's, described by Fennelly as the official restaurant of ISU WBB. And, just when I think we're done, Woody strikes paydirt. It ain't over yet.
