Huh?

When is the last time they put Big XII vs Big XII in a bowl matchup?
Reasons why the all Big XII matchup already posted by others (Colorado fills a legacy Pac-12 spot).

FWIW, the January 1979 Orange Bowl was a rematch of Nebraska (Big 8 Champion) vs. Oklahoma (Big 8 Runner-up) won by the Sooners 31-24. It was Missouri's fault for upsetting the Cornhuskers 35-31 in Lincoln the week after NU beat OU 17-14 in the Regular Season. That really screwed the Bowl selections up that year.

Penn State (11-0) was #01 and headed to the Orange Bowl to play Nebraska before the Mizzou Upset which sent the Nittany Lions to the Sugar Bowl to play #02 Alabama (which actually beat Nebraska that season 20-3 @ Legion Field and won @ Mizzou 38-20). The Orange Bowl literally had no better option at that point than the rematch.

Ironically, 1978 was the year I went to my first Iowa State game vs. Texas A&M in the 1978 Hall of Fame Classic @ Legion Field. Been a Cyclone fan ever since.

The good old days!

Let's Go State!

According to Deon no one on his team will sit out
I believe it. For all his bluster, Deon's coaching style is old-school hardass. Plus Travis Hunter is an athlete of high integrity. A true boyscout and team player.

As far as a potential Alamo Bowl, I like a matchup with Colorado. Our defense is custom-built for air raid.

My only worry would be that Shadur stays in the pocket to a fault-the guy would rather take a sack than an incompletion. With our general lack of pressure and the quality of their receivers he would have enough time to carve us up.

Or throw interceptions. Colorado doesn't scare me. Though I appreciate Deon bringing attention to our conference.
