"Class Act" is not exactly what I was thinking after he "Shushed" the crowd while walking out of the end zone after a second half touchdown.

I understand that a lot of players do this type of thing (including ISU players). Although, I immediately thought of Bibb's excess celebration flag for saluting after a touchdown last year. Was that worse than taunting the crowd with your finger??

Anyway, maybe Boykin's actions were heartfelt but I think it is easy to do the right thing when you are in the spotlight. And, I just grow tired of how quick our society puts people on a pedestal.

At least society is putting him on a pedestal, for seemingly, on the surface, making a kind gesture to a kid who has faced some serious hardships. Sure beats the type of crap most people get famous/praised/put on a pedestal for.

It was way different when Georges blew a kiss.
1. It was against IA.
2. It was awesome.

These are true, but you're hypocritical if you call Boykin classless and not Niang. Both are competitive guys who obviously love to have fun yet have shown many times they are good representatives of their school.

There's a big difference between blowing a kiss to the fans of your in-state rival who have been throwing smack at you about your physique on twitter versus shushing the fans of a football team that has won what, seven games over the last two and a half years, on a cold night.

I went to ISU, my father attended K-State, and have multiple family members who attended Oklahoma State. They will always be my top 3 Big 12 teams, but I do like TCU. I'd root for them any day over Baylor, that's for sure.

Not really - both were in good fun and neither seemed to have any malice towards the other team/fans when doing it. Who cares that we suck at football? Who cares that it was a cold night? This is a college kid at the top of his game having some fun. Lighten up a little and enjoy college athletics, rather than look for reasons to be pi$$ed at a 21ish year old kid doing nothing wrong.

I witnessed this as well and told my friend that was on of the classiest things I've seen. I'll be rooting for him to win the Heisman and be cheering on TCU the rest of the way because of him.

Even Melvin Ejim flipped the bird a time or two. And Ejim was about as classy of a student-athlete as you've seen in a while.

Somehow I doubt our crowd was treating Boykin in quite the same manner as what Ejim heard at BYU and what the Iowa student section was saying to Niang. I guess he didn't like them attempting to support our not very good football team.

Boykins actions in the photo are genuine. If they weren't he would have just leaned over to talk to her but instead he went to her eye level and made eye contact.
