Tough comparison. Unfair to Brackins as well. At first glance I would say FIzer but he also had a great PG who has had success when he played in the NBA. Brackins has never had that. Gilstrap takes some pressure off but he doesn't do what Tinsley did. The thing Fizer had that I really wish Brackins would show is attitude.

Really?

Fizer averaged 14 and 7 as a freshman, 18 and 7 as a sophomore before Tinsley ever showed up. You don't have to lie to make your point.

I stand corrected. I apologize for being so mistaken. I remembered Fizer having a lot of trouble with defenses packing it in on him as a soph - I guess that indicates a faulty memory on my part.

Let me just add that I never lie. Never. Like most other humans, I can be wrong. In fact, in this case it looks like I am at least in the 99th percentile of wrong. But I don't lie.

Sorry so late to this thread.
Fizer over Brackins.
Brackins needs to learn consistency and defense, and add power and determination to play on the level of Fizer.
That being said. I think that if Brackins decides to add some power to his game, and becomes more consistent, I think his 'UP' side after college may be better.

Though Fizer had Tinsley feeding him, don't forget that his team played much of the season with only 6 healthy and competitive bodies on the roster. Perhaps the best part of that team was that they all realized they had equal shares in the success or failure of that team. It was amazing how they stayed as healthy as they were. I don't see the current team around Brackins being as team minded.

CB should not even be in this conversation. MF was in a class all by himself, one mentally and physically tough dude. IMO, CB is not at all ready for the NBA, will have difficulty banging it nite in and out. Another year could have a super positive impact on him.
