John Fox isn't even done running Carolina into the ground yet, why do you want to hire him?

Julius Peppers = Jared Allen

Steve Smith/Mushin Muhammed = Sidney Rice/Bernard Berrian (Randy Moss matches with Steve Smith better - oh well)

Foster/Williams = AP/Percy Harvin

Jake Delhomme = Brett Favre (if he sneaks in again next season)

The Vikings play-makers match up with play-makers Fox has had in Carolina, the difference being the Vikings have more talent over-all than Carolina has had (defensive backfield being the exception). You put Fox in at head coach right now and I see this team as a playoff contender. Fox has dealt with attitude (Steve Smith), know what it takes to win at home (8-0 home record two seasons ago) and knows how to stage a comeback (won 4 out of last 5 games last season to finish 8-8).

Brett Favre is old enough to be the head coach. Maybe he could step into that role next year.

Or put Bud Grant out there in a wheelchair.

They signed him to an extension less that a year ago, this is not given that he will be gone.

They owe him $13 million through 2013. Add that plus the $3-$5 per year for a new coach, this is not a done deal no matter how bad they continue to tank.

This is my sentiment. Last year Chilly got a contract extension, Favre got about $25 million and the fans got the shaft.

How about Zygi do more thing consider firing Childress. Everyone should be fired who thought it was a good idea to bring Moss back to the Vikes. Childress should have been fired many moons ago.
