Same reason plus his ability had been falling off.I know Aikman did for sure, can't remember why Young hung it up.

Agree with all that you have said...but, that being said, having a concussion typically makes it more likely that you will have additional concussions that last longer and have more severe symptoms. Having the personnel available to diagnose a concussion is great...but treating concussions relies on a system that requires both the player and coach to follow the directions. I'm not sure this was followed in Brewer's case.A lot of parents are basing their son's injury potential for playing football based on concussion statistics and CTE of players from the '90s and '00s. Even as recently as I played (05-10) we hardly ever talked about concussions.
Parents should understand that medical technology and personnel have come a long way in diagnosing and treating concussions, even in recent years. The chance for lasting brain damage is being reduced dramatically and improving every year. Not saying it can't happen or won't happen, but don't cite Troy Aikman or Junior Seau as statistical norms.
Wow.On to Liberty now. From what I've read that QB room is stacked.
His brains are scrambled. Once you get so many concussions you just aren't the same anymore. You just wonder what happened.
