I don't think the spray painting/tagging warrants much. Running from the cops was dumb. Wouldn't be surprised if he lost the start and maybe first quarter, based on Campbell's precedent when he suspended Lazard, Cotton-Moya, and Park for a quarter at KU last year for being late to breakfast or a meeting - something that could've been 100% kept behind closed doors but Campbell showed his stance on not meeting team standards so their actions and punishment were put out in the public. Now you have an arrest in public and it's in the media, and there potentially won't be any consequence re: playing time?

I don't think Peavy's action by itself warrants in-game suspension/punishment, but let's not pretend this isn't a double standard if he starts after an arrest and three guys who were 5-minutes late to a team function missed a start/quarter.

How do you know how many minutes late they were? Not showing up?

Well did he start?

Yes, no known punishment at all.

Announcers have already embarrassed us about it. Said he was arrested Weds, and no punishment at all. Makes us look so good. It doesn't even matter if there were some kind of punishment that nobody knows about. The national PR damage is done.

No one is going to remember this next week. It's not that big of a deal.

I'm just going to pretend this is satire, because this would be some seriously quality satire.

Holy ****, dude. I thought he might lose the start (for reason I stated earlier), but nobody outside of Iowa State fans & program, ISU-covering media, and the random troll Iowa fan will think about this after today.

Clonedude jusy stop already! If I remember right it was mentioned earlier that it didn't violate the student code of conduct regarding the incedent. And I think that's why he can play. Meaning it is minor NOT major! Now go Cyclones!!!

Leadership player group may of been involved in decision. Outside of the team, This is a fine once settled in court. Let him anti up the $ and move on. OR, maybe he should grab his crotch and yell at the judge.......

You are spot on. If you are going to show the public your facility signage mandating that players use the word "please". Then you better let the public know it is unacceptable when a player vandalized property, ran from police, and gets arrested only when an officer has him at gun point. The message out out there is this didn't violate a code of conduct and that is outrageous.
