My 6th show and awesome by any standard. "Incident on 57th Street" which played into "Rosalita (Come Out Tonight)" just like when it was introduced on the album, "The Wild, The Innocent & The E Street Shuffle," was a concert rarity that many Springsteen East Coast aficionados are green with envy about right now. The man (2 days from his 60th b-day, mind you) has not lost a step! "Candy's Room", "Cadillac Ranch", "Glory Days" - Bruce saved his best setlist for Iowa, my friends.

Hope you caught the show.

When I saw Springsteen a few years ago, it started freakishly on time. Almost like he knew he only had the room for 3 hours and had to get everything in.

The lower ring of seats were full and it seems the 2nd level was as well. The third level was curtained off along both sides of the arena but was open at the back - that looked full too. The floor (which was all general admission) was about 1/2 full. Not sure how to put a number on it, but I'd say anywhere between 7,000 and 10,000

Awesome concert. I would guess 10-12k attendance. "Incident" was amazing. They put on a really good show.

What a great set. I wish I could have made it. Saw him @ Hilton in the early 80's and he put on 3 hours without a break.

The only low point of the evening was when Bruce intoduced Clarence as "the world's biggest Hawkeye". Truly bad form, Mr. Springsteen!!

I thought he said the worlds biggest hair-tie! Old Clarence had to use a lift to get down from the stage because he couldn't do the stairs. Glad I got to see this one because I'm betting there aren't many tours with the E Street Band left.

Yeah, the Big Man looked tired - they loaded him on a cart to take him from his side of the stage, back to the dressing rooms. Got to believe this is his last tour.

But Bruce is still in great shape!

This was the 5th time I've seen Springsteen and this was the best show yet. Great set list! A ton of energy from a 60 year old man. Glad that Max was back behind the drums. Back-up singers were great. Loved the "stump the band segment." They spent a few good minutes trying to figure out the chords to Dion's The Wanderer after Bruce pulled a sign from the crowd that said, "The Wanderer. Stumped?". They pulled it off and it sounded really good prompting Bruce to say after they finished something like, "you can't stump the E Street Band" and then he tore the sign up. Funny. As was pulling an 84 year old lady on stage to do her best Courtney Cox imitation during Dancing in the Dark. Other highlights for me, Nils Lofgren's guitar solo during Youngstown and Thunder Road which made my wife cry as it's "our" song. Great, great show. But as a previous poster said, you've got to wonder how many E Street shows are left. I'm guessing not too many.

The E Street Band...America's best rock-n-roll band EVER! PERIOD!

Last night was awesome...and the guy only charges $90! That is the best bargain in the music business today!

Lots of great moments last night:
  • 10th Av and Badlands to start the show
  • Running around the pit during Hungry Heart
  • Incident on 57th into Rosalita
  • Taking 3 minutes to figure out how to play The Wanderer sign request, then pulling it off
  • Dancing in the Dark with the 84 year old Grandma
I'm dragging and my ears are still ringing today. Man, the Boss never disappoints!

I would not call that a bargain at all.

Funny, I didn't think I could go, but found out late that I was going to be able to make it. Bid on a single on ebay for $40 and got it at 4:30 the day of the concert. Best $40 I ever spent. What a great show! Bruce's older stuff is way before my time, but I've started listening to a lot of it and I really believe that he's a musical genius and a rock legend. Maybe the best songwriter ever. Most music these days have lyrics that don't mean a thing other than they rhyme. Springsteen's songs tell a story, which is something pretty rare, really.

Well, to hell with moving on. Just bought a set of tickets to see Bruce again in St. Louis on October 25th. Going to ride this train a little longer to see where it will take me.
