the goods with Buckley create open spots on the court because he is an offensive threat but Peterson can be also..kinda a toss up in my mind..his PT vs Iowa was an attempt at starting something!

Petey should be playing, but not at PG. Yes Buckley will see the court more, he is starting to impress McD and get his trust.

No crap. Do these guys lift weights? Larry's teams would eat these guys for breakfast.

Yes. Players have put on a lot of muscle weight since they got here. Some need more but they are lifting. Some just so muscle more than others.

We can only hope McD will give him some more minutes to prove himself during end of the non conference stretch and carry that into the beginning of conference play.

Yes, I think Buckley could use some more PT. He is a good bench option for a struggling Garrett. I like the Garrett, Buckley, Petey rotation at the 1. But agree, Petey is much better fit at the 2, especially the way he has been defending and rebounding.

I also think that Thompson needs to be replaced with Hamilton. I don't care how good Thompson's post defense is, or his hustle. I see a young Homan in Hamilton, and he should be getting time at the 5, allowing Brackins to play the 4 on offense, a more natural position. Brackins can still post up, but Hamilton at least isn't a complete liability on offense, and if Brackins could learn to pass out of a freaking triple team, Hamilton should get some easy buckets. And could use the experience on defense. Thompson has really awful hands, and that is no good when trying to catch a ball.

Thompson has shown some post moves this season that I don't think Hamilton has. Most of Ham's buckets come from help defense that leaves him wide open. That may also come from the lack of tape on Hamilton at opposing team's disposal. Some defenders actually play harder and more physical against Thompson because they see a possible turnover.

Ham is young, and if people think McDermott is playing Thompson out of loyalty, you're nuts. How McDermott's team plays determines his job status. I'm excited about the young talent we have on this team. Both Buckley and Hamilton will see the floor when they are ready. Until then, we play with what gives us the best chance at winning.

Hamilton could be very good as a junior or senior. The guy is only a few years into playing BB.
