Burton???

Great contribution by Ashton today, and I think he could get a few spot minutes a game going forward, but let's not act like he was doing anything too special. Canned a 3 when he was open and played defense at the top of the 2-3 zone against a Big 12 bottom feeder.

Burton can be a play maker on offense, but needs to be more consistent and have better decision making. He also could step up his game defensively.

Has Burton dunked in a ISU game yet? All we heard was his thunderous dunks he brings to the game....has he been able to dunk yet?

I have not been able to stomach watching this team and the parts of games I have seen I do not recall a dunk....Is this true?

Burton didn't play well today, but as others have written we didn't need him to have a huge game.

One thing that does worry me however, is that today is the 2nd or maybe even 3rd game in a row where he's turned in a sub-par performance. We're going to need him to be that impact player we know he can be Monday night against the Sooners.

Burton is much better then Ashton. Burton can rebound and play decent D. Ashton looked good. I think he proved that he deserves minutes. We need to continue to spread the minutes out. Niang just can't play 37 minutes a game with our schedule.

At this point Burton can provide an offensive spark when needed, but his defense is not decent. He is probably our worst defender. For a team that was struggling on defense, Ashton is a much better solution on the perimeter.

Burton will be important for some of the bigger games coming up. He just brings a style that guys like Thomas and Morris don't. He takes contact in drives rather than trying to avoid it. Won't make as many shots that way, but he will draw fouls.

Yes, agreed. Burton is very good offensively but really a poor defender. I hope that he makes a similar leap to Thomas's improvement on D. If he can become a decent defender, he could play a lot next year, and if he's playing a lot, I see him scoring 15 ppg.

Seems like sometimes CF just ignores the other team. This was not a game where Burton matched up well against K-State, but Nader did.

Our offensive players are really lazy on defense including Burton. Hope he can play harder defensively with his athleticism.

Burton and Nader both seem feast-or-famine to me -- depending on the matchup or just getting hot. Burton had his minutes in the game but didn't seem to do much with them.

I don't understand why every player on our team doesn't play awesome every game. Seem like we would be better than everyone else if they just did that, because no other team is capable of that.
