Even if Michigan wins the title (which is doubtful), the point is once again the Big 10 was waaay overhyped during the regular season and although it did a little better this year, still nothing close to the hype. Most of their teams had great seeds and played near home, yet I believe 11 of their 14 wins have been against unranked teams. One win was against barely ranked Memphis and it took a 30 foot 3 for Michigan to get past KU, who pulled off one of the worst tourney collapses in history. Their hottest team needed two buzzer beaters to get to the elite 8 where they were embarassed by the Mo Valley runner up. Michigan over Florida was impressive, but that's about it. Nobody said the Big 12 was strong this year, and we showed it in the tourney. But listening to ESPN and CBS this year, you would have thought the Final 4 would have been a Big 10 play-off, and once again the hype was waaay beyond reality.
