This kid looks scary and I'm glad he's on our side. Roster lists him @ 6'4" 240. He looks bigger than that to me. I wonder if maybe he winds up in Rasheed's room?
I was checking the roster at first cause I didn't know who it was. I thought 'damn! who's that huge LB?' Insane how fast some of these guys are developing physically.

The 1st half Johnson was gone once he got thru the line. Halftime adjustments and it was a different story, last several drives at crunch time were mostly punts and the LB’s were filling. Gotta give props to Orange & JR Single, they made significant stops that held Iowa out of the endzone in the 2nd half.
To me, those 2 possessions were the key to the game, and really flipped the momentum. Pre CMC teams would have folded and given up 7 or 14 points. There were many big plays, but I think the game really came down to holding them to only 6 points on those possessions. It gave our defense some SWAG that lasted the rest of the game.

I have been wondering if Cael is related to Greg Brezina, a Pro Bowl linebacker with the Atlanta Falcons way back in the day.

Just realized that with Greg a member of the UH Brezina family (six brothers and a nephew or two), we’ll get an answer one way or another in a couple of weeks.

Brezina was awesome and looks legit. Ellis played well, and I thought Ebel made a good improvement vs. week 1. It was interesting to hear on the broadcast that Heacock seemed completely unconcerned about the LB depth going into the game on Saturday. Some of that can be just his style and coach speak, but you can also see why he might have been feeling pretty good.
