SIAP, but I was looking for the times for tonight's games and clicked into the football schedule by accident; saw that Cal & Hawaii are opening the 2016 football season in Sydney, Australia on Saturday August 27th. Anyone know the scoop or reason behind it?
Seems awfully expensive to fly two football programs to Sydney for a non-conference game, plus Cal had to back out of their non-con game against South Dakota. Hawaii was supposed to open at Michigan, and will play that game Sept 3rd. Hawaii still has a 13-game schedule, Cal still has 12.
