CBS KGAN Channel 2

First thing...hardly anyone watches KGAN for news (although they have rebounded from their low of getting near 0s on the ratings 10-15 years ago and nearly getting sued by KCRG for libel and copyright infringement).

As others have noted they do fly tigerhawk and Big Ten flags outside. I have taken this up with WMT and their response is "Well we are the "Home of the hawks"". Honestly surprised ISU hasn't pulled their press passes...not like it would hurt coverage.

KCRG...it is what it is They are the market leader in an area that is dominated by hawk fans and they are a half hour away. Saville is a great guy that is just doing his job. Any "slant" is purely just part of the job. I have never met the other two.

KWWL I am sure Rick is great we just never watch them.

What ever happened to Terry Swailes at KGAN? If there was any positive to that station, I thought they had a good weather team.

KWWL does a nice job with their sports. Woodley is an ISU guy (I think alum) and Rick Coleman does a good job and is fair to ISU, Iowa, and UNI.

Woodly is good, Coleman however I'm not a fan of. I'm still holding a grudge because the day Fred one Big 12 coach of the year, Coleman ran a feature on Greg Davis coming to save the Hawkeyes offense.

I thought this was hyperbole, but then I looked. Wow. It's nearly 24 hours later and nothing. Plenty of small high school coverage, tho ...

Well they have to cover the Big Ten Classic Nebraska Missouri game from the 90s so there is no space for ISU.

His contract was not renewed. Basically became too expensive for them.

KWWL is actually pretty decent. Both Coleman and Woodley are good IMO.

I've always wanted to have a beer with Hlas.... very interesting guy actually... and I feel he treats ISU fairly... and is also critical of Iowa when they deserve it. Iowa fans generally don't care for Hlas.

Coleman is terrible!
He and Ron Steele jerk each other off to anything hawkeye related. Total bias on their reporting. Woodley is alright.

Saville is exponentially better than John Campbell. I had a few arguments with him over the years.

Thank God for CF. Because if I still had to rely on getting my ISU information from eastern Iowa TV or the newspapers over here, I'd starve to death. And there is still the issue of sorry ass radio coverage here...

Who flies conference flags? That would be like flying a NATO flag on the Fourth of July.
