CBS: Ridiculously early top 25 (and one)

I'm going to temper my expectations. I was mildly disappointed with this season and don't want the same feeling in a year. I do think we can be ranked all year long, but there are too many things that can change. Now if Diallo comes to ISU it will be hard not to get excited about the future.
top 15 yes. top 5, just don't see it. #9 is about as high as I see us right now.

What holes do we need to fill for next year? If we get one big we're set IMO
SIAP But I quit reading when he had Indiana at #12 ?!?!?!? They finished 3 games behind Iowa in the Big 10 this year and he thinks they are going to be a top 15 team??:shocked:
Until this team starts focusing on playing tough, hard nosed man to man Defense, I don't see us as a real top 5 team. Every single team in the FF and top 5 play very good defense when they have to. Duke wasn't a world beater on D during the season but when it came to toruney they turned it up a notch. I'm really hoping Cooke is a decent perimeter defender and Burton.
Who has a folder labelled that? I'll put it in my Sports/History/Essays/Spreadsheets/Classic Novels folder though.
I'm taking a wait and see approach to next season. I got caught up in the hysteria of expectations this year and then watched as we had an inexcusable and embarrassing exit from the Dance.
All aboard the Hype Train!!! It does worry me that whenever this team becomes the media darlings they fold like a cheap card table though....
Kind of reminds me of the hype during Cato's and Willoughby's Sr. years. ISU was pre-season top 10...but ended up a 4 seed that year. Was a good year, but didn't quite 'live' up to the hype. I hope next year is better!

Wouldn't be a real ISU thread without someone jumping to a conclusion that the only person in the world named Fran is Fran Mcafferty and then bashing another ISU fan for talking about their in-state rival like it doesn't make any sense.
