Im just saying we lose Scotty and Allen and add Clyburn, if he is as good as either of that at 3pt shoting it will be a coup. Best case scenario in that situation we only lose 50% of the net 3pt shooting production from those two. KL's percentage isn't nearly that high.

God forbid I say a player needs to improve his shot....

He shot ~23% last year and ~22% this year. Sure improve that shot but he's not going to be a 3pt stroker.

I think you probably drop Percy into the lineup for White.

But I'm holding out hope for:

Korie
Babb
Clyburn
Niang
Gibson

Bubu, McGee, Ejim, Booker is a fantastic energy-jolt bench.

Also, I wouldn't be shocked to see Clyburn starting at the 4 in Freddy's system, especially if Lockett shows up.

Ejim will start ahead of Niang.

From what I've seen, Clyburn is better than both Allen and Scotty, possibly even combined. Not only did he shoot 40% from 3, but he can get to the rim, finish, and also has a mid-range game as well.

Decent defender too. If Clyburn plays like he did at Utah, and maybe even better, I'm totally fine with CA and SC being seniors and losing them.

Clyburn has a lot of upside.

In hindsight, I think I knew the night of the Kentucky game that this would be his last game. I'm not sure if there were two lineups in the country better than UConn and Kentucky for proving his ability to play at the top level, and he sure did.

Yeah, during the game while my dad and I were watching Royce go through Kentucky's frontcourt like a hot knife through butter I leaned over and told my dad I had a feeling that this might be the last time we were going to see Royce in a Cyclone uniform. This was backed up when a Kentucky fan sitting right behind us told us that RW was the best player on the court.

As a Cyclone fan I'm sad to see him go (if in fact that is what happens), but I'll wish him the best of luck and become a fan of whatever team drafts him. For the first time in a long time I'll be watching the NBA draft this summer.

You would have said roughly the same thing about DG right?

He could easily shoot around 33ish% if that was a time he needed to fill this year. He just didn't have to and chose not to take open shots because that wasnt his role.

I guess he didn't talk to Fizer, Stinson, Will or Brackins. Maybe he can live on D league money.

Man, we have some dumb fans.

Fizer was a lotto pick. He made A LOT of money.

Brackins actually should have left EARLIER.

Will and Curtis, well, they were never likely to get drafted higher anyway. They certainly weren't going to elevate their status any higher. They had no more room to grow in their games.

I really appreciate all what Royce has done for ISU and how he conducted himself during his two years. I wish him the best in the NBA. However, to be one of my all-time favorite Cyclones, you have to spend more than one year playing. Good luck Royce!

Am I the only one that thinks he needs one more year to develop a jump shot?

What the hell does DG have to do with Ejim? (I like DG and he was screwed over by McD so I'm not making your connect here)

Some day Iowa State will catch a break and things will go our way......someday....

I've been saying that since 1975 though.

Good luck Royce.

We already caught a break by getting Royce to come here in the first place.

In the NBA draft you don't have to be a complete package. Drummond will go in the top 3 despite having no post game, offensive or defensively. Perry Jones will go lottery despite being incredibly soft. An NBA Exec will take Royce primarily because of the things he does well, and assume they can help him develop a jumpshot.
