Listening to ESPN radio and TV over the last couple days , they are blasting Texas for leaving Charlie Strong hanging. Finebaum, an SEC cheerleader, called it one of the most disgraceful things he's seen in college football in recent years. Obviously, he has had his head in the sand- the situations at Baylor, UNC and about 90 other things are far worse.
Has he or other ESPN talking heads spoke to Charlie Strong to get his perspective? Have they considered the circus that would occur if Charlie Strong was fired this week? All focus of the media and fans would divert away from the game against TCU and the efforts of the kids.
I don't know if the "experts" have even considered that Charlie Strong already knows he is gone and has asked Texas to keep his firing quiet until after the game to make game week as normal as possible for his kids?
