Well he's still got a chance since Allen will only be a freshman next year, and will redshirt. I'd more more worried about the Juco we brought in if I were you.
I've seen some people report that Chase could come in and play right away if he bulked up before the fall. So I don't think it's a guarantee that he redshirts. They do have the JUCO TE Fernandez so I'd imagine he would get some serious playing time too depending how the offense looks.

I heard Chase has a younger brother who is a hell of an athlete as well. Think he is in 8th grade but I will have to see if I can confirm that. Saw a pic and he looks to be well over 6' already.

I don't think we can know what any recruit means to current players until spring ball is over. I believe these coaches will play who they believe can produce and not care if they were already on the roster or not.
One thing you'll learn about posters here, for whatever reason most believe you shouldn't recruit better players if there's already a player they like on a team that didn't go to a bowl game. They don't like upgrades or depth. For whatever reason they think it hurts the current players feelings.
Is this really necessary? Can't you just disagree with someone without constantly calling names and questioning their intellect?
