[h=5]Dear Friends,

We would like to thank you all from the very bottom of our hearts for your patronage over the years. Unfortunately, we have closed our doors for the last time.

Most college graduates look back fondly upon their time in school; we hope that a memory or two was made (and maybe blacked out) at Chasers. From the quarter drinks, to fishbowls, to making drinks out of WHATEVER WE POSSIBLY COULD, to flip cup tournaments, mouth fulls, shark attacks, **** johnsons, challenge the bartender competitions, drunk mario kart, passed out DJs, shirtless sundays, hockey practice, the alley, the cooler girl, passed out door guys, giant messes, the canned pop, 2 years without bud light, the drama, bacon cheese fries, the toasts, the good times, the techno, the death metal, the cold times (damn gas bill,) the out of control manager, the pool sharks, the best damn specials in Ames, the strongest Jager bombs money could buy, the absolute worst hangovers, and the BEST STAFF anyone could ask for (who put up with more than anyone ever should!) We hope you enjoyed your time with us. Thank you for coming and sharing a little craziness with us for all these years.

Charlie Yokes bought that building. Since Kingland systems bought from where they are now to the corner. Yokes is going to move from where it is now to where big shots/chasers used to be. Probably open in August.

So that is seriously still happening?

When I was in college Chasers was always really dirty, like sticky floors terrible bathrooms dirty. It was a haven for the spiked-hair frat boys who didn't know how public beer pong tables worked; they would just stand around and claim a table even if they weren't playing. Went in there after the Okie State FB game with some Hok friends and they basically said "wow if this is the bar scene in Ames it's worse than I thought."

My thoughts exactly. Whenever I think of Chasers I think of standing water on the floors and tables. No matter if it was a beer pong table or not. Wasn't my 1st-5th choice whilst in college.

Too bad none of their fond memories include making money. Sounds like they got to party a lot, though, and isn't that why they bought a bar in the first place? Yes it is!

From what I read on twitter/FB from friends, it sounds like Charlie Yokes is coming more and more popular.

With having 3 floors for the new building, that could be a really good bar.

Yoke's has yet to officially buy 2401 Chamberlain. Kingland systems did buy the Yokes property along with others, but that is so they can control the leases to the properties. As of right now, Yokes isn't planning on moving at all.

They should move. They need more space. Getting a drink in there at 11p.m. on a Friday night is awful. I could gt a shot/beer from 3 bars before I got one in there. Honestly that padio is so fun, playin bags ect. Add food and I tihnk you have a good thing there. But I'm not an owner so I wouldn't use my opinion. They also have that projector they throw up on the side of the building for games and stuff.

Agreed, the 2401 building has a great set up, and especially with the patio. But the bar counter itself is smaller. As someone who worked in that building previous, there would have to be a bit of an investment to make it viable. Which may hold back any suitors that currently own bars in Ames. The list of things that I saw that would need to be fixed and what not is quite big. It's a shame because the owner was a good guy, but a lazy, ****** owner.
