To be fair to Iowa I don't think anybody was calling for Kirk Ferentz to be fired after year 4. After year 14 I think he should be on the hot seat. I also don't think anyone is going to be calling for Paul Rhoads to be fired after 4 years. He had to change a whole culture and is doing as well as anyone can expect without cheating.

I heard that Iowa may need a coach after this year. He would be perfect for their program.

It is a dream of mine that they fire Kirk, pay the full buyout, and then hire Gene. I don't dream this so much because I want them to suck, I just would like to hear Jack Trice if Chizik was ever on the opposing sidelines.

If you let players transfer without penalty, coaches would basically become free agents. Those with a few great players, would get outrageous offers from schools to coach, and bring their players with them.

That's not what was suggested. Read it again. He was talking about when a coach is fired, not every time a coach switches jobs.

.... He was apparently given carte blanche to hire his buddies and we all know how that worked out. But some of your anger should fall on someone else.

Who hired that jerk anyway?

Ding. Ding. Ding. It wasn't and shouldn't be all on the Chiz.

I didn't take it as a jab? The way I took it was they were applauding CPR on how well he has done at ISU. They basically took a shot at Chizik because they brought up how he can't win at Auburn and how he said that the ISU job sucked.

They got on the subject asking if anyone knew all of the former head and assistant coaches at ISU who went on to win national titles. Pop Warner surprised me as the first on the list.

I dream this because I want them to suck worse than they already do.

Chiz was bad st ISU. Tubberville had a good record at auburn and got fired after a bad year but obviously had talent in place, auburn did ISU a huge favor, for that I am thankful but they also got what they bought and then what they deserved.

Who ******* cares, Chizik sucks being a head coach and will more than likely not coach a big time program ever again or even maybe a FBS team. Also Kirk will be back next year Iowa is not going to fire him.

The man, the myth, the made up BS!! While it is becoming clear what kind of coach GC may very well be, 2 years is not enough to judge anyone. HOWEVER, four years is, and if ISU loses the next 2 games may the judging begin!! As it should.

Bump. Rebecacy, always loving him some Chizik.
