You're one game late on his breakout game.

Yeah, I kinda agree on that. Vs OU, he was 2-2 on treys, 4-5 from the field. He did have a couple TO, but his passing and ball handling really made him look like a jail-break out game.

He deserves more minutes; maybe even a start just to keep his attitude up and looking forward.

Colvin is a true point guard and need to play every minute he can.. He is really what this team has been missing his ability to drive and pass are a big help. He looked like the #10 pont guard in the country.

Wrong. You gotta be careful with him because you don't want him to have one awful game and kill his confidence. Keep him from hitting the wall.

Uh, there was a 2 week stretch where he didn't play at all. He only plays 10-15 minutes a game when he does play, so I don't think we have to worry about him hitting the freshman wall.

It only takes one game...and Baylor's guards are vastly superior to ours as are Kansas State's...both of those teams have the weapons to shake his confidence.

Is it just me or did anyone else break out in clapping when McDermott finally put Colvin at point with Garrett at guard in second half? I loved when we had Garrett bring the ball up and had Colvin start the offense. This needs to be how this team is run!!! Colvin can just do so much more in creating things for the offense. Garrett is a good player but I always thought he was better not being the primary ball handler. I think he gets too much into his head when this is the case.

In a perfect world Wednesday's rotation is

PG: Colvin
SG: Garrett
SF: Gilstrap
PF: Brackins
C: Hamilton

Christopherson spelling Garrett and Gilstrap
Dendy spelling Brackins and Hamilton
Buckley spelling players as needed

Also another thought, Buckley and Colvin should not play together unless absolutely necessary. I just really don't think it utilizes our best options at substitution patterns.

Buckley can come in and play with Christopherson, or Buckley can come in and play with Garrett. But only Buckley and Colvin when we have foul trouble. That is just too much youth and inexperience in one backcourt.

anyone else see when he could have went for the steal but instead started complaining to the ref?

I honestly like DG at the 2 and Christopherson on the bench. I think we can use Colvin's energy from the outset of the game. We were really sluggish at the start of the game and the start of the second half. I guess I would try to combat that problem and have him in there to energize the team. I would like to see us at least experiment with Colvin starting and DG at the 2 in the next game. If it doesn't work, it doesn't work. But I would rather us try.
