That transcript doesn't make him sound arrogant IMO, confidence is not arrogance. Especially since it was all true.

Chris Williams: Now that you've had time to digest that…

Brent Blum: I'm floored.

Chris Williams: The thing is…I know they're good. It's not like we were coming off as these condescending Iowa State guys, were we?

Brent Blum: No. Well, maybe in his mind. To predict that an FCS team would beat a Big 12 team, even though they won 3 games, we realize this, by 3 TDs...is just asinine. It's a shame that the college football playoff is only 4 teams because if there were 5, NDSU would be in it.

Chris Williams: What boggled me about the conversation we just had,though, is that much confidence in anything. I've been saying all week from an Iowa State standpoint, I'm not concerned about North Dakota State because I know they're going to be good. I know exactly what to expect from the... BIZON (condescending) on Saturday. It's all Iowa State to me. And 2, for him to be so guaranteed lock-down, Iowa State's not scoring 17 points…That's ASININE.

Wow that's hilarious. CW and Blum ridicule the guy and then he comes one point away from nailing the score. That's called getting owned

For the life of me I couldn't understand the Cyclone fans talking smack towards the NDSU fans leading up to this game. I never did. The UNI game last year was all I needed to be reminded of to know better.

What in the devil are you talking about? We had Bison fans on here talking trash for months. Some Cyclones here just returned smack for smack. I can respect the program their university has built and appreciate their team and their accomplishments but as a Cyclone fan I sure as hell don't owe anyone anywhere any ****in' apologies!

BTW, I am not talking about the thread subject conversation here which looks pretty dumb in retrospect.

That said, he was pretty darn confident in this prediction; and so were CW and company.....

I didn't talk smack in return at all. Go find where I posted smack in return.

Truth is, we have NO right whatsoever in returning any smack. NDSU has won 3 National Championships in FCS, and hasn't lost a game since 2009, including 4 or 5 wins against FBS schools in the process. They had a right to talk smack. We didn't.

If a NDSU fan said that to me before the game I would have laughed in their face. There is a reason this website is called CycloneFanatic, not CycloneRealist.

Talking smack is fun! **** some people act like just because the team sucks the fans have to act like they are worse people because of it. **** that ****. I will continue to talk smack and boo this football team until the day I die because I ******* love Iowa State.

Gary Rima I am sure predicted every win and unset for UNI in all sports as well. Homers get lucky sometime. I guessed Iowa State would beat OSU in 2011. You win some you lose some. In the end, Chris and Blum are probaly right more often than Ed Wilson and he has a radar.

Look like an idiot? After we lost I was high fiving NDSU congratulating them on the win. It isn't like I say we are going to kick your *** and then run away and hide if we lose. I think it was who said that football is just a game, a stupid game correct?

I have said over and over again... yes, football is just a stupid meaningless game, and I will forever stand by that. It doesn't mean I don't care about football, but it's still meaningless.

ISU football could end tomorrow and the world will go on fine without it. Yes, it would probably mean the end of all ISU athletics as we know it, but life would go on just fine.

FWIW, John and I had a nice back and forth on Twitter last night. I gave him his props. Not sure what else you want. I was wrong. Happens a lot. It will happen again. I'm not hiding from that.

Your post makes no sense as a reply to what I said but no surprise there. I wasn't giving CW/Blum crap for disagreeing with the guy...I thought ISU would win as well. They mocked and ridiculed the guy and it came back to bite them in the a**. They got served a nice plate of crow
