Cicada killer wasps up close!

You must have a quiet yard with that crew of "killers" around.:wideeyed:

Cool stuff, I can never get past he heebie jeebies of six legs poking their way up my skin, kinda like playing with june bugs. But the insect itself being around doesnt bother me. Neat.

Last summer I was backing out of our driveway and watched one flying to a nest (don't know where it was) while carrying/dragging a katydid. Amazing.

I have noticed quite a few regular wasps this year in my backyard. Not sure where their hideout is. I haven't seen one of the cicada killers yet. Those look like something out of the Land of the Lost. Can't imagine Marshall, Will, and Holly dealing with those and the Sleestaks.
