I'm pretty upset with CMC, but anybody saying he should go is delusional. CMC is the best coach this program could possibly field. If CMC leaves then going back to 4-6 win seasons will become the norm again.
Idk if Campbell's VORP (or VORC in this case) is as high as you or others on this board say it is but we are not a program that can say "7-0 start and you dropped to 7-2 so its time to go" in terms of finances and prestige. Campbell by and large has done a good job this season. In all honesty with our injuries and the way KU played/prepped for the game, its not fair to expect that we win that one. Texas Tech game is really the only the game we should have won that we didn't. (we should be 8-1 right now but that's how these things go)

you need colo. to lose a game, and WVU not to win out.
If Utah beats Colorado and West Virginia wins out (Baylor, UCF, Texas Tech), look what the Big 12 Championship would be pic.twitter.com/x9FrzvpoYd

The sad thing is, if WVU wins the big 12 with 4 losses, the big 12 will be shut out of the CFP.
Yeah, this looks right.

We need to win out, cheer against the Buffs, and cheer against the Eers.

Admittedly, I'm not feeling optimistic.

I think the part that Im not optimistic about is us winning out, tbh.

I think CU slips up next week @KU.

WVU won't win out.

Need Colorado to lose one more in that scenario

Is that true though ? Wouldn’t we be ahead of WV based in head to head ?

Our fans can ***** all they want, there is absolutely zero chance Campbell would get fired. It would be an incredibly dumb move.

Duh!
Yeah with the amount of injuries we've had on defense you have to have a massive talent differential above your competition to go undefeated. And we obviously do not have that
Short version: I was told this week the there are more injuries than we even know about. Some guys are playing injured, not hurt, injured. The defense is held together with duct tape and gum. :(

It’s insane. They should be talking about how he and this team are overachieving versus financial support, recruiting rankings, etc.. I am as disappointed in the last two games as anyone, but it’s absurd. How many would have taken 7-2 and a W again iowa at this point, if asked in the spring.

Turns out the TT loss changed everything. Today is the biggest game of the year and imo is the last game where we will be expected to win by more than a couple points. Turn things around now and get rolling.

Interesting twist about WVU! Multi-team tie-breakers can be a *****.

FWIW, while I hope ISU wins out for this to be a problem, I highly doubt it will, so...

I am rooting for BYU to win for reasons.

I am rooting for Colorado to lose for other reasons.

I don't care whether WVU wins or loses.

What is funny though is that if the nightmare scenario of West Virginia winning the Big XII happens, it would be just ANOTHER year where Iowa State has beaten the Big 8 / Big XII Champion! I can think of 1992 (Nebraska), 2011 (Oklahoma State), 2017 (Oklahoma) and 2020 (Oklahoma) off the top of my head. I am sure there are others. Not to mention beating B1G Champion Iowa in 1981 and 2002!

Finally, if 4 loss West Virginia beats Undefeated BYU, they still might sneak in as the 5th best Conference Champion if Army loses to ND, or BYU could be selected as an at-large if the AAC Champion (Undefeated Army or Tulane) are ranked higher than WVU.

I'm not worried about any of this. I just want Iowa State to beat the Bearcats today, improve to (8-2) and rejoin the CFP rankings on Tuesday!

Let's Go State!

No head to head isn't top criteria. Yes I know that is idiotic
  • A - The tied teams will be compared based on their head-to-head record during the season.
  • B - The tied teams will be compared based on win percentage against all common conference opponents.
  • C - The tied teams will be compared based on win percentage against the next highest-placed common opponent in the standings (based on the record in all games played within the Conference) proceeding through the standings.
  • D - The tied teams will be compared based on combined win percentage in conference games of conference opponents.
  • E - The tied teams will be compared based on
