What does the mailman look like in CPR's neighborhood?

That guy that fired Paul is not Jamie Pollard. Think this shows that

How did you get that? Based on those comments in the article, it sounds very much like Jamie made the call, even if it was difficult for him.

“I said at the beginning (of the season) that I hoped it was painfully obvious one way or the other,” Pollard said when asked about evaluating the season. “Saturday, for better or worse, it became painfully obvious what the choice had to be."

"
It was a very cruel way for all of us to find out what the obvious choice was. It wasn’t anybody’s fault. It was a set of circumstances. How do all those things happen in the last 3 minutes?”

"
“Why did that happen that way? Why didn’t somebody tell Paul to call a timeout? Why? Why? Why? I’m not questioning him."

Meh, I wouldn't jump to that conclusion. Rhoads is getting fired for not winning games, not for being a pariah. There's no reason for him or the AD to be jerks to each other this last week.

Just because this is an amicable firing doesn't mean it was forced on him.

You're really reading into something that isn't there. Guessing you're one of the people who was so sure JP wouldn't fire him no matter what happened.

Not sure I agree, I know from the Leath conspiracy angle it seems like he was the push. But I think JP though he hated it had to agree with the decision, the almighty W is all college football judges on in the end.....

It was a matter of time before butts weren't going to be in seats and donations were going to drop. Jamie knew it. Paul knew it. It sucks for everyone but had to be done.

No, it doesn't.

This shows that everyone involved realized that a business decision had to be made, and their friendship/working relationship/neighborship/whatever you want to call it is bigger than the business, which I think is really cool.

These are people, human beings at the end of the day....I think we forget that a lot of times.

Cool gesture by JP. I can say I am proud of how CPR, JP, and the University have handled themselves throughout this. Makes me dang proud of my alma matter and it's football program/athletic dept.

I've felt like this entire situation has been handled with a lot of class. I've been pretty impressed with the way everyone has handled it. Aside from Mangino that is. Big surprise.

JP was pretty somber last night at the game. Wonder who he was texting?

If Wyatt travels and dresses, does that mean someone else who would've traveled is not allowed to anymore?

I have no inside info but, I doubt JP would allow Wyatt to go if it means someone else is staying home.

There's a limit for travel, so it does mean somebody staying home, but it's the last guy on the travel team so unlikely to matter much other than the fact that guy will miss out which sucks for him. And in true Iowa State fashion we're somehow going to need that 4th string tight end and it'll cost us the game.
