Sorry, Pittsburgh State I think? Not sure to be honest. Hard to not see his very open Twitter postings but I never dug any deeper as it already felt sort of creepy; I unfollowed all of the players after a few weeks this year actually.

So youre like LeBron getting rid of twitter during the post season? Don't want any distractions?

Social media in general is a distraction. I do like it for sports news though. When it gets into an 18 year old's love life, I shut that out as much as possible. Wish the best for Custer. Seems like a really good kid.

Glad I wasn't under a microscope when I changed schools a few times. I just wanted to try living somewhere new. Loving the newly found freedom, I just wanted to try new things. There's a hundred reasons people do it. They're no different than us. Hope he enjoys his next stop. That's a fun age to try new places.

Kevin Ware played 28 minutes a game this year. Just some poop for thought for all the posters I see peeing a little bit about Cooke and Williams having offseason surgeries.

Both shoulders and both hips are different IMO even though wares was so gruesome.

Yes it is and I changed schools too. Living through the exodus from our BB program a few years back has me (probably unjustly) reflexive now. I am invested as a fan and donor and I hate seeing kids (with potential and in good standing) leave - though in the end it may be for the best.

Kids that Are ready to play tend not to want to weight for their Jr. or Sr. year to get minutes anymore. We only have 13 schollys and our talent level is getting higher so if a kid can't get on the floor in first 2 years they probably won't Georgos is the possible exception as a developing Big he needs time. a kid like Custer either signs at a school he can play right away and often transfers to a better school after a year or two or they go to a better school sit and transfer to the lesser school. Now I agree in many cases the kid could just stay and play and am sure that was his plan. My guess is he assumed he would get PT as back up and starting job his JR. When Morris went NBA and now that isnt in the works anymore. Because of Hallice maybe or maybe because he thinks Morris will be here all 4 years, Or both? But with 13 schollies it is unrealistic to think that many if not most of our high school kids will l leave either to the NBA because they are awesome or because they didn't break through the depth chart. Hoiberg has said he is only signing guys he thinks are shovel ready (Georgos is again the exception as a rare 7 footing 3 point shooter) because he knows he can get shovel ready guys on the transfer market.

But if you listen to some of the blabbering heads like Jon Rothstein, you'd think that a college kid deciding to transfer is the end of college athletics as we know it and a sign of the demise of society as a whole. But not a word is said when a coach hops from job to job, even after waiting until signing day to lock in a recruit before doing so.

The point is it's not 1930 and it takes a major, major, major injury or series of injuries to halt productive careers in this day and age. They can fix pretty much anything and more importantly rehab science has come a long way since an ACL tear meant you could be done or at the very least meant you'd never be the same. The way things are done now they don't even just repair anymore, they improve.

I'm not denying that. And regardless of how talented these guys are Cooke spent literal months without being able to run or shoot. Same with Williams. I just don't see that having zero effect. Maybe I'm wrong but I'm tempering my expectations for next year is all.

I agree with that but the vibe I'm getting from people is that they think that Williams and Cooke are never going to see the court here and will be retiring from basketball. Worst possible case scenario of course.

Having seen the things we put out there, I like to hope they're different than us.
