Random Quick Fact: LSU's Stadium is also referred to as Death Valley. I wondered which teams nickname came first and found this:

Although LSU's Tiger Stadium was constructed nearly 20 years earlier, the "Death Valley" nickname was first applied to Clemson's Memorial Stadium in reference to Howard's Rock, which was plucked for the dessert sands of the actual Death Valley in California.
LSU's use of the nickname came along quite by accident. In a tongue-in-cheek reference to Clemson Memorial's nickname, LSU supporters began referring to their stadium as "Deaf Valley", due to the magnificent volume levels produced within.
Unfortunately, this creativity was lost on television commentators, newspaper men, and, yep, a lot of us football fans alike, and after years of incorrectly referring to both as "Death Valley", the nickname stuck in Baton Rouge as well.

this is all in fun fyi....

1st off...I am not sure even if Seneca did score we make the extra point to tie.

2nd off, in typical Clemsoning fasion. We go 6-1 to start the season. have a showdown with Oklahoma and get beat 49-3.
Get beat by Uconn at home and end up playing a bowl game in Boise finishing the last part of the season 1-6 with one of the best QB's we have ever had.

Our 2000 season was our best year ever.
Didn't play OU or Texas. Only played 2 ranked teams all year and got handled by both.

1998 up 28-0 on KSU at the half. Get beat 35-28.

2004 - chance to win the North and go to the title game. Easy game against Mizzou - Nope

2005 - Chance to win the North and go to the title game. Easy game against KU - Nope

Losing to FCS teams

Missing extra points to Tie or win a game

Seeing a pattern here?

This is why we are prepared.

I remember having a lead against Missouri. Cyclones knock Missouri QB Brad Smith out of the game and victory is all but assured. Some Freshman (Chase Daniel) comes into the game and... :(

I was pulling for Clemson last night because (1) I like land-grants, (2) hater on Jameis, (3) why not, and (4) there's a professor there I'm friends with, and he's about 100% orange and purple, so I figured why not pull for them.

Watching Clemson **** that game away definitely brought back some of my Iowa State PTSD, though. Could have sworn it was the same old story only with different, orange colors instead of cardinal and gold.

At least Jameis isn't in many of the Heisman conversations this year. Don't think I could stand listening to him give a speech again. How he stays academically eligible is a mystery to me.
