I don't think PJ or Ech is going down, this is my opinion. I could see Chittum at 165 and PJ at 157 or vice versa now.

Chittum making 157 for the Iowa dual makes it seem unlikely to me that he is going 165.

If PJ and Ech are staying 149/157 id prefer to keep Chittums RS on.

Just my opinion.
I cannot disagree with that. I think MJ may go at 165 now, but who the heck knows man. I too would like to have Chittum sit out this year with Casey and get healthy. Chittum is an animal, lives and breathes this sport...Kinda a breath of fresh air for me honestly.

Speculating.
I wonder if Dresser is wanting to split up Chittum and Casey's redshirt years.
Still have Paniro, MJ and Euton around for a few years, so the logjam doesn't work itself out next year either.

I think I also heard that Ech has another year if he wants it. But I can't figure his eligibility out.

That said he told me that him and Yonger were finishing together this year.

I was told the same thing. I am hoping those two stay around the RTC, because Osmany is going to need them (IMO). I still do not think many understand the challenges these guys go through coming here and adjusting to everything. Hell, I cannot imagine going just to learn another language, let alone go to class and pass, learn a new style of wrestling, AND be miserable cutting weight.

Anyways.

Just listened to this.

Major takeaways are:

- Definitely rumblings of guys changing weights (known)

- MJ going at 165 this weekend (expected)

- Yonger likely not going this weekend (also somewhat expected)
Would Herrera take Yonger's spot if he has a first semester date left?

I've only said this 100 times every time everyone gets extremely excited about foreigners wrestling folkstyle in America/at ISU. Talent is one thing, but there are 50 other factors that play into it.

Ech is considered a Jr right now with his covid year and a redshirt year in there. He COULD be back if he wanted to be, or if the money was right ;)

It's really going to come down to if they want to make a run at freestyle or go right into MMA.

Ankeny, IA.
So from Dressers availability the CKLV lineup is:

125 - Meza, but KT will be the starter in a few weeks
133 - E Frost
141 - J Frost
149 - Ech
157 - Paniro
165 - MJ
174 - Riggins
184 - Bockman
197 - Carroll, but he might not go because he’s been sick. 50/50.
285 - He didn’t say who, but I assume Herrera. Yonger out until collegiate duals.
