That is another school to compete with for a HC.

Maybe? Hasn't Kill been bringing these same staff, more or less, along with him since before N. Illinois? This is purely health-related, I think Minnesota has mostly been happy with Kill. If they don't look like garbage down the stretch, it wouldn't surprise me to see them give the interim guy a real shot instead of starting completely over again.

So does that make 3 teams that Iowa gets to play with interim coaches and not counting North Texas? Sheesh...

Gotta put health first. Hope he gets better. I've always pulled for Minnesota (esp when playing our state's eastern school)

This is sad news for Coach Kill. His interim and staff, if it should stay together, would be a good consideration for a hire. They run a power run, spread offense, use TE's a lot, could be a good fit for ISU. Lots of experience recruiting in and to the midwest.

Well that's a surprising start of the day. I think he did pretty well up there and seemed like a nice guy also.

I wonder if the cancer is back or if it is the epilespy? Either way sad thing.

Tough timing for for the team considering they were off last week.

This is really sad. I really like Kill and what he tried to do at Minn.

his coaching future was always a ticking time bomb unfortunately. Sad for him to not be able to go out on his own terms. Of the three interim coaches I will have played, this will be the only one where not having him on the sidelines will be a detriment.
