I'm just assuming this is the way Matt Campbell established the 5 Star culture at ISU.

I'm Gucci and you're some kinda Trax shoe your mom picked up at K-Mart back in 1975

Get your **** and get out.

The five star culture got us a 1 win B12 season this year?

I agree, I actually have no problem with it. If that's the culture he wants to set, need to set it right away.
As others have said, not a good look to do it in a team meeting, where video is clearly going to get posted/leaked. Should have done that in smaller or individual meetings.

Or maybe he wanted that video out there. He definitely seems like a guy that DGAF
He has always seemed like the kind of guy who knew how to market himself. There is zero chance this gets out if he didn't want it to get out. Hard to say yet if it's a mistake or not but it was 100% intentional.

I don't think people grasp how bad the SWAC is.

They don't have a single team (including Jackson State) that would have finished above 9th in the Valley and SEMO would've rollllllllllled JSU.

Prime could win big there because the talent was just overwhelming and, while he'll certainly have talent at Colorado, he's going to have to put a really good staff together for it to matter.

I'm with what seems to be the consensus. This is either an absolutely amazing hire or one of the worst ever and I'm not sure there's really anything in between.

Hard to take a UNI fan's biased view here seriously. Probably frustrated that Farley cant get UNI past 7 wins while Deion is running the table in just his third season on the job at the same level.

This exactly. Not saying his talent yet had gotten to the level of P5, but the two newest classes (Fr and So) at JSU were P5 type classes. And the SWAC is horrible. The talent level disparity in the typical JSU game was enormous, probably more than you would see within any P5 conference ever. Even if he brings in #1 classes at CU he won't have the week-to-week talent advantage he has now.

I'm not saying he won't be able to coach. It's not crazy to think he will be successful. He's smart, knows the game, he can recruit, and he knows how to essentially be a CEO of his brand/business. It's just a big unknown, and if you're CU, might as well swing for the fences.

SWAC is garbage. It is the "same level" in the same way the MAC is the same level as the Big 12 or Big 10.

That might be true if they were playing at the same level. The FCS has become a hodge podge of misfit toys that are either trapped in the FCS due to geography (Valley and Big Sky), have no money (HBCUs and WAC), elite academic institutions that have football to attract extra tuition paying students (Ivy, Pioneer, NEC) or leftovers with no other place to go (CAA, SoCon, OVC)

If you think the gap between the P5 and the G5 is big, the gap between the top and bottom of the FCS is the Grand Canyon.

Lastly, I'm a Farley guy. He's got the 10th largest budget in The Valley and always finishes in the top half of the league and makes the playoffs more years than not. If he had the Dakotas resources, he too would be playing for national titles every year. He greatly, greatly outperforms what he's given.

His style is not for everyone, that's for sure. One thing is for certain, he's going to draw eyeballs, money and talent to wherever he is. If he surrounds himself with the right staff, this obivously could be a massive success. Sure he has a lot to prove from a coaching standpoint since Jackson State is at a signficantly lower level of ball, but he did turn them around quickly and deserves some credit.

Also, what's the worst that can happen for Colorado? They are the biggest mess in P5 football possibly and this is absolutely worth the gamble for them.

I mean, Dallas and all, I'm sure but still. Zim is just no fun and stuck in 19something or other.
Prime doesn’t seem to **** around coaching wise either. Pretty straight forward old school guy. Zimmer coaches the same way. Zimmer is also a pretty elite defensive mind when his mind is solely focused on the defense.

So Zimmer as DC, Kent State’s HC as OC, rumored to possibly have Tim Brewster and Charles Kelly on staff as well. Thats a lot of coaching experience to surround yourself with.
