I just really hope Jamie doesn't extend Prohm's contract this offseason. Give him a raise or whatever to keep him happy. We still need to see more before we extend.
He’s underpaid, but paying him elite money also wouldn’t lead to a Big 12 title this year.
What’s the assistant budget? Fred had some great support from the likes of Lutz, Sadler, Henry, TJ, Loenser, etc.
He’s got David Hobbs, former Bama HC in the 90’s.I'd be curious about the assistant pay as well. The staff has recruited well no doubt and i get the strategy of keeping your circle tight has worked for some a la CMC, but i can't help but feel like Prohm could benefit from a mind on his staff that came from outside of the Iowa State/Murray State pool. Just food for thought.

Defending Prohm, and actually, we have been getting more than we pay for.So you’re not actually defending Prohm, you’re just going with the “You get what you pay for” defense. Got it.
The second one.So is it that we need to pay Prohm more if we expect him to win more games or we need to find a coach worth more than can win more games?
My point is, we're getting a pretty good deal so far with Prohm. As we did with Hoiberg.I’m not understanding the OP. You think results should be based on salary? I don’t think you understand how contracts work
Hard to believe Mark Few is 61st on this pay list.
Yeah, that’s well known. But Hobbs isn’t part of the Murray St pool. Hobbs isn’t part of the Billy Kennedy pool that most assign Prohm to.From Prohm's biography on Wikipedia...
"He started college at Oglethorpe University in Atlanta where he played NCAA Division III basketball. Prohm only made it halfway through his first season as a player when he left the team to follow his passion for coaching. He transferred to the University of Alabama where he worked as a student assistant coach and student manager for the Crimson Tide men's basketball team for five years. He graduated from Alabama in 1997 with a degree in education.[2]"
Guess who was Alabama's head coach when Prohm was a student-manager?
Hobbs is still "within the circle" for Prohm.

But this is the most talented ISU team ever! Way more talented than any Niang/Morris team and way more talented than any Fizer and/or Tinsley team! Everyone is saying it so it’s true! RAGE
big fish small pond in that conferenceReminds me of Ben Jacobson. Could have cashed in big on his success, but seems to be happy where he's at, and a good fit for his current job.
