Thanks for sharing. Interesting too hear the commentary on Cincinnati as well (11:20). That could be a very tough match up on the road for us.
Would love a final four - don't "expect" it. Will be disappointed if they don't make it but won't be disappointed in the team or coach because that is just March Madness.
It really is a crazy situation that he is coming into. It is crazier because he has to recruit almost a while new team for his second year. He might be hoping for success more than any of us because if they get bounced early or struggle this year, it could make it hard to recruit the next couple of years.
However I think we are at a point if we make a final four this year, it might start opening us up for the top level players or at least 20-50 ranked players

Me too. curious to see if that is a group that can sniff the tournament in year 1 together.

You joke, but he would have made ISU a top 3 team last year. We could have used a lightning fast dead eye three point shooter last year. Especially when naz struggled. Forte is one of the most dangerous players to go up against.
Was at Babb Bros. BBQ this weekend and they don't have all of the ISU stuff up in their new location. I should have known it was a sign.

I've been hearing the same thing.
I also think people are sleeping on Jakolby Long. Kid is going to contribute a lot as a Freshman. Really think he is a big steal for us in this class.
Babb hasn't been here long enough to write off yet. Let him redshirt this year, put on some weight and work into our new system.
Just a week or two ago, the rumors were that Cooke wasn't going to be in our rotation, but he looked pretty freaking good on Friday, so it's a good reminder that "rumors" don't always turn out to be true.

Hopefully this off year will give Babb the time he needs to be a contributor down the road. If he was that good as some had hoped, Fred would have recruited him in the first place, but to my understanding that wasn't the case. Still hoping ISU was a good move for both him and us.
